Meet the Team

Dr. Mazin Farah has been practicing dentistry in Dumfries and Fredericksburg area, Virginia, since 1998. He attended Baghdad University School of Dentistry in 1986, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science, and later graduated with his master’s in orthodontics in 1988. After moving to the U.S., Dr. Farah attended and graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1997. Currently, he attends yearly continuing education course for general dentistry and orthodontics to keep himself up to date on the latest in dentistry.

Dr. Farah is a member of:

• The American Dental Association®
• The Virginia Dental Association

His goal as a dentist is to create beautiful, healthy smiles using his experience in orthodontics and general dentistry.

When not at the office, Dr. Farah enjoys hiking and is an avid soccer fan.

Dr. Hayat Najafe has been practicing dentistry and serving our area for over 20 years. He received a Bachelor of Science in biology and graduated with his master’s from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2001. Dr. Najafe actively pursues continuing education on a regular basis and attends the American Academy of Implant Dentistry annual conference regularly.

Dr. Najafe has obtained advanced training in implant dentistry throughout the years. He attended a MaxiCourse® for dental implants in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2005, and in 2007, he completed advanced training for dental implantologists in soft and hard tissue/bone grafting at the Medical University of South Carolina.

His goal as a dentist is to deliver the best dental care possible for each and every patient of ours by listening to them, keeping up with advances in the field of dentistry, and investing in new and improved dental technology and dental materials. Perfection is not possible, but we can strive for excellence.

Dr. Najafe and his wife have two teenage boys who tower several inches above them. When not working, he enjoys being outdoors and being surrounded by nature. He likes grilling on his outdoor wood-fired grills, loves to travel and still enjoys playing soccer. His true hobby is gardening and caring for his home orchard that, according to his boys, only feeds the critters of Fairfax County!

Angie joined us in August of 2011. She has over 17 years of dental experience and was a dental assistant for seven years. She loves being a part of a team that strives to help countless people and patients experience the highest quality dental care. She loves our warm, friendly staff!

Angie was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, and has lived in Hawaii, Maine and Maryland. When not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and loves to visit wineries, cook, go on beach trips, read and enjoy quiet time.

Sarah has been with our office since 2003. She received a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Mary Washington and then went on to receive her Master of Forensic Science from George Mason University. Sarah is a diplomate for the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators. Sarah enjoys the people she works with and considers them family. She is always willing to help in any way she can.

Sarah has been married to her husband for 17 years. They have one daughter, a stepdaughter and a stepson. She is a cat mom to five cats, all of whom she rescued. Her hobbies include, running, hiking, traveling and reading. In her spare time, Sarah works for the state of Virginia as a Per Diem Medicolegal Death Investigator performing death investigations and responding to scenes when needed.

Sima has been a part of our practice since 2016. She graduated as an honor student from Northern Virginia Community College with a dental hygiene degree in 2000. Sima strives to follow the same philosophy as our dentist in providing maximum care to our patients. She helps our office be successful by creating trusting relationships between patients and staff, reinforcing treatment plans and utilizing her co-diagnostic skill to prepare patients to accept their treatment plan. She feels blessed to be able to work with great dentists who not only perform great work but also possess great personalities. She looks forward to coming to work every day.

Sima is married, and she has a son, a daughter and four grandchildren. She loves gardening, attending family affairs, having fun with grandbabies, walking, biking, reading books, watching shows and having parties with friends – teatime!

Robin has been working in dental care for over 15 years. After she completed high school, she completed her certificates and now continues her education to this day. Robin loves the sense of family and community at our office. She assists in creating a smooth and productive work environment by delegating tasks properly and efficiently.

The motivation and encouragement of Robin’s family will always push her in her career. On her days off, she enjoys surrounding herself with family and going on walks with her kids.

Kelsey joined our dental office in October of 2021. She is currently attending school for dental hygiene. She loves being able to help people gain confidence in their smile, and she helps us succeed by making a clean, organized and comfortable atmosphere at our office.

Kelsey likes going to the gym, shopping, traveling and spending time with her dog.
